Project: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - Exhaust Gas Dispersion analysis
The objective of this study was to perform an exhaust gas dispersion analysis on the future Turbine-Driven Seawater Injection Pumps to:
- Assess that the new equipment does not introduce any significant safety and environmental hazards.
- Assess the adequacy of the location, height, and orientation of the exhausts consistent with safe helicopter operations in all wind and weather conditions; and
- To determine the impact of the hot, toxic exhaust gases on personnel (short- and long-term exposure), equipment, HVACs and other critical structures on the FPSO.
