Santane helps energy producers (and consumers) in their pursuit to decarbonisation so that they meet their net-zero targets. Santane is fully committed to work with customers through the entire lifecycle of decarbonisation and energy transition projects, right from feasibility and selection of most optimum path to net-zero. Santane provides robust consulting, engineering and technological solutions to its customers providing insights, feasibility, costs, CO2 offsetting and impacts towards net-zero. Our solutions also involve engineering services for projects in Offshore Wind, Hydrogen Technologies, Batteries and Carbon Capture & Storage.
The shift from fossil fuels to sustainable energy demands significant changes and generates its own unique challenges. At Santane, we assist our customers in tackling these challenges and selecting the most feasible, cost-effective solutions for their energy transition journey.
Our aim is to guide and support our clients on a sustainability energy path. We achieve this by providing engineering and technological products and solutions that actively reduce CO2 emissions. The strategies we employ include energy efficiency, renewable deployments, clean, safe & connected mobility, competitive industry and circular economies, infrastructure and interconnections, bio-economies and natural carbon sinks, and carbon capture and storage.

- Market leadership through innovative technology;
- A distinct competitive advantage in the marketplace;
- Minimised carbon footprints at reduced operational cost;
- Measurable success toward meeting net-zero targets.
Carbon Capture and Storage
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is the process of capturing waste carbon dioxide (CO2) from large point sources, such as fossil fuel (coal and, gas-fired) power plants and heavy industrial facilities. CCS is widely considered a critical option for decarbonising industry in the short to medium term. Santane offers comprehensive engineering and technology solutions in this space, including bespoke CO2 capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) consultancy services. These services include:
- Legal and regulatory framework assessment and design;
- Feasibility Studies for CCS deployment;
- Value Engineering and optimisation;
- CO2 Price Forecasting and Financial Modelling;
- Environmental Impact Assessments; and
- Risk and Safety Management frameworks.
Hydrogen Technologies
Indirect electrification through hydrogen is a primary pathway for decarbonising industrial production processes. Hydrogen is broadly classified as either blue hydrogen and green hydrogen. Blue hydrogen is generated from natural gas and refinery fuel gas, and where the CO2 that is released during production is captured and stored. Green hydrogen is produced via water electrolysis powered entirely by renewable energy sources, such as offshore wind farms or solar power.
The production, handling, and storage of hydrogen introduce safety risks comparable to those of hydrocarbon gases. Santane has developed extensive technical capability and delivered specialised consulting services and studies for similar high-hazard projects including:
- Regulatory compliance and regulatory guidance;
- Techno-economic Feasibility Studies;
- Safety Engineering & Risk Management;
- Independent Assurance and Verification;
- Human Factors and Engineering Ergonomics;
- Computational Fluid Dynamics Studies (Dispersion, Fires and Explosion); and
- Plant Layout and Safety Distance Optimisation Study.
